ABOUT
Mr Doodle, otherwise known as Sam Cox, is a doodler based in England, UK.
As a child, his obsession with drawing began by drawing over his parents’ furniture and his bedroom walls. Later, during his university years, he painted all over his clothes, and his tutor nicknamed him ‘The Doodle Man’, an alias which later became ‘Mr Doodle’.
He describes his work as ‘Graffiti Spaghetti’, covering as much space as possible with an endless, usually monochromatic, stream of consciousness. His doodles contain characters, patterns and objects inspired by 1980s graffiti, retro video games and 1990s children’s cartoons.
Mr Doodle’s work covers A variety of disciplines including murals, immersive installations, painting, animation, sculpture, music & sound.
Mr Doodle has collaborated with a variety of brands including Disney, Samsung and Fendi and has had solo exhibitions at venues such as The Holburne Museum (UK), K11 Musea (China), Ara Art Centre (South Korea).
