CLASSIC

Mr Doodle’s signature style of painting that he’s best known for. Clean, crisp, neat lines, often busy and full of joyful characters.

The pieces tend to contain only one or two colours and come in the form of clusters or full page doodles where there isn’t usually a focal point but instead busy groups of doodles.

Narrative

Paintings by Mr Doodle that tell a particular story. Usually a story about his life with Mrs Doodle and their various adventures- falling in love, doodling the world and travelling to space. These paintings are more often than not full of colour that’s been doodled in a smaller scale or painted in block colour as collaborative pieces with Mrs Doodle.

Transformation

Artworks where Mr Doodle deliberately chooses to loosen up and embrace expressive mark making instead of his more traditional neat line work.  These artworks often use various layers of spray paint to create levels of doodles that sit on top of each other.

Characters in these works tend to have a wider spectrum of emotions than they do in other genres of Mr Doodle’s artwork.

beat bop

A bridge between classic and transformation, where spray paint is embraced to create punchy, vibrant and radiant line work that feels like it is dancing. The works are loud and contain high contrast colours, often with intricate details within certain sections.

dr scribble

Mr Doodle’s evil twin Dr Scribble creates work in an opposite style to his brother. His characters are either angry, sad or scared.

The mark making is created in two ways: either very loosely drawn in a wild and raw form- or very angular and mechanical, with no curves or natural shapes, as if it was drawn by Dr Scribble’s army of robots.
